Acclaimed children's author and TV personality David Walliams has been dropped by his UK book publisher, as confirmed by the firm.

A representative for the firm stated: "After careful consideration, and with the guidance of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing additional books by David Walliams."

Reports indicate that the move was made after an review of allegations of questionable actions directed at women.

The company declined to specify the motivations for this action, adding: "It is not our policy to discuss confidential company decisions."

An Illustrious Publishing History

Walliams is one of the UK's most prolific writers for young readers, having sold more than 60 million copies worldwide in dozens of tongues.

The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins fifteen years ago.

A number of his books, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as TV movies.

His bibliography includes over four dozen titles combined, including a holiday title called *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins in October.

Television and Literature

His career breakthrough occurred on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He was awarded an OBE in 2017 for his services to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.

The publisher's decision comes after the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO last fall.
