FC Barcelona Ready for Inaugural Game at Upgraded Camp Nou over the weekend
The club confirmed they are set to host at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou this Saturday. They will welcome the Bilbao team in La Liga over two years following their departure for construction to commence.
“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Attendance will be limited but 45,401 spectators can be present as per the current authorization. When completed, the Camp Nou is due to hold almost 105,000 spectators, a rise from the old capacity. Barça announced finished work included a new players’ tunnel along with upgraded changing facilities.
Stadium Testing
Barcelona held a public practice on the home pitch earlier this month. Officials stated they are seeking authorization from Uefa to play their next home Champions League game against Eintracht Frankfurt in December at the stadium. They have been hosting matches at the Olympic Stadium.
