Tributes Flow for the Reiners as Autopsy Reports Remain Under Wraps.

Well beyond 14 days after the tragic deaths of celebrated film director Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, the entertainment community continue to honor the duo.

A Heartfelt Farewell: Cary Elwes Recalls His Director

Sharing on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who was featured in Reiner's iconic movie *The Princess Bride*, stated he finally felt prepared to share openly about his deep grief.

"Sufficient time has elapsed that I can at last put my grief into words," wrote Elwes, adding that his first meeting with Reiner created an instant bond. "As we began spending more time together I knew this was someone I wanted in my life."

The actor shared behind-the-scenes footage from the movie, remarking that he could not remember "a single day without mirth".

"This story is about affection, allegiance and giving. Things that Rob held dear. This is one of the many reasons he was the ideal person to direct it," Elwes expressed.

He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, noting: "Asserting that they were a incredible duo would be an oversimplification. My heart still pangs every time I remember you." He ended with a line from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but existence is agony without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Fellow Artist

In a distinct tribute, acclaimed director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he first met in the 1970s.

"From the start, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a innate rapport for each other. He was very funny and sometimes bitingly funny, but he was never the kind of guy who would command the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese pointed out Reiner's supporting role in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, portraying the father of the protagonist.

"He could improvise with the best. He was a expert at comedy, he worked beautifully with his co-stars, and he grasped the personal struggle of his character," Scorsese noted.

Judicial Actions: Autopsy Reports Restricted

Recently, a Los Angeles superior court judge agreed to prevent the publication of the Reiners' autopsy reports, at the request from the local authorities.

A court order put a security hold on the cases to prohibit the public release of "all case details, documents, files or images" pertaining to the probe.

The coroner's office had earlier stated their deaths were the result of homicide, with a record listing the cause as "injuries from a sharp object".

Response and Criticism

After the deaths, public personalities offered divergent comments.

Ex-President Donald Trump commented on the matter, providing divisive statements that were met with immediate backlash by several public figures.

Podcaster Joe Rogan contributed his criticism to the those speaking out recently. Speaking on his show, Rogan described the remarks as "shocking" and suggested they showed a concerning absence of compassion.

Rogan finished by suggesting that an aide could have stepped in when the decision to weigh in on the passing was made.
