The incident caused the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the multi-storey parking facility.

Two individuals are now facing charges following a luggage theft where a believed to be irritant spray resulted in harm at the major London air hub.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, now face two robbery charges and charges for deploying a toxic agent, according to official statements.

This legal action stems from an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the attack, two female travelers had their luggage taken after exiting a car park lift, police said.

A three-year-old girl was among those injured during the incident. Five people went to hospital for treatment and were subsequently released.

The incident – which authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as terrorism – led to disruptions to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport road tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a brief period.
